Minister Han Seong-sook of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups (MSS) attended the "2025 Venture Capital year-end night" event held on the 5th at the Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas in Seoul, presented awards to those who contributed to revitalizing venture investment, and encouraged industry officials.
"2025 Venture Capital year-end night" is an event hosted by the Korea Venture Capital Association where people in the venture investment industry gather to share the year's achievements and pledge to make a leap forward in the new year.
At the event, the Minister awarded 16 Ministerial Commendations from the Ministry of SMEs and Startups (MSS) to those who contributed to the growth of domestic venture and startup corporations through this year's venture investments.
The Minister said, "It is largely thanks to the venture investment industry that venture investments surpassed 4 trillion won in a single quarter for the first time in the third quarter this year," and added, "Please actively invest in innovative startups and venture corporations that will drive the growth of our economy in 2026."
The Minister also said, "The government has drawn up a 'comprehensive plan to become one of the world's four leading venture powers' to create an annual 40 trillion won venture investment market and plans to announce it within the year."
