CERAGEM Co. said on the 5th that China subsidiary head Kim Sang-sik received the prime minister's commendation for contributing to boosting global exports at the 62nd Trade Day ceremony on the 4th.
The Trade Day commemoration ceremony, supervised by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and hosted by the Korea International Trade Association, is a national event held annually to honor and encourage contributors to Korea's export industry. Government commendations are awarded to corporations and individuals that have contributed to expanding exports and opening overseas markets.
CERAGEM Co. began exporting to the United States in 1999 after the FDA cleared its spine care medical device "M3000," and has since actively pioneered overseas markets by entering China, India and Europe. It is now present in more than 70 countries and operates about 2,500 global experience stores.
Kim Sang-sik, head of CERAGEM Co.'s China subsidiary, received the prime minister's commendation in recognition of contributions including building a foundation for localization in China, expanding distribution networks, and fulfilling social responsibility and community contributions.
In particular, by overhauling the subsidiary's distribution network, the company led the stabilization of the market structure and improved operating efficiency by building a digital management system. It was also positively evaluated for enhancing medical device technology competitiveness based on strengthened research and development capabilities and for driving revenue growth in the global business through profitability-focused structural innovation.
It has also taken active steps in social responsibility management. By broadly promoting activities that enhance the national image—such as expanding the hiring of young talent, cooperating on public diplomacy, and pursuing social contribution projects—it has fulfilled corporations' social responsibility and led the realization of sustainable value.
