Korean Air said on the 4th that it carried out its regular executive appointments for 2026.
The promotions involved 20 people, with Flight Operations Division Head Kim Hae-ryong and Human Resources Management Division Head Seo Ho-young promoted to senior vice president, and 18 people promoted to vice president.
Korean Air said it kept the scope of changes to a minimum for the launch and stable operation of the integrated airline.
It said the focus was on strengthening future competitiveness by promoting outstanding talent with expertise and leadership to respond proactively amid a rapidly changing business environment.
Korean Air said, "We will carry out preparations for the launch of the integrated airline more thoroughly with 'absolute safety and customer-centered service' as core foundations," adding, "We will work to strengthen our status as a leading company in the airline industry and to advance the aviation industry and enhance global competitiveness."
