Hyosung Heavy Industries said on the 4th that it received the "$1 billion Export Tower" at the "62nd Trade Day ceremony" held at COEX in Samseong-dong, Seoul. The Export Tower, an award commemorating Trade Day, selects winning corporations by tallying export performance over one year from July of the previous year to June of the current year.
Hyosung Heavy Industries achieved exports of more than $1 billion (about 1.474 trillion won) during the period as global demand for power infrastructure surged with the expansion of the AI industry and data centers. That is an increase of more than 25% from a year earlier.
Hyosung Heavy Industries is currently exporting power equipment to about 80 countries worldwide. It mainly supplies power equipment such as ultra-high-voltage transformers, reactors, and circuit breakers to the United States, and ultra-high-voltage power equipment to Europe.
An official at Hyosung Heavy Industries said, "Going forward, Hyosung Heavy Industries will provide country-specific power equipment solutions and solidify its position in the global market."
