Asiana Airlines said on the 3rd it will partially reduce flights on the route departing Incheon for Los Angeles (LA) starting on the 15th of next month.
Asiana Airlines currently operates the route 14 times a week but will cut it to seven times a week through May next year.
The affected service is flights OZ204(203), departing Incheon International Airport at 9 p.m. and departing LA local time at 11:30 p.m.
Asiana Airlines plans to gradually add back flights from June next year and return to twice-daily service starting in July of the same year.
The company said the reduction is due to adjustments in its business plan following changes to Asiana Airlines' own aircraft operation plan.
Starting today, Asiana Airlines will separately notify affected customers of the revised schedules and plans to minimize inconvenience by offering same-day alternative flights, date changes and refunds, and waivers of reissue fees.
An Asiana Airlines official said, "We apologize for the inconvenience caused by changes to our aircraft operation plan," and added, "We will actively assist by changing reservations to customers' preferred schedules or providing alternative flights on other airlines to ensure there are no disruptions to itineraries."
