HD Hyundai said on the 2nd that it donated 3 billion won to the Community Chest of Korea. Marking the year-end, the funds prepared to support vulnerable groups will be used going forward where help is needed in local communities.
In March, HD Hyundai donated funds and carried out relief efforts, including deploying excavators and personnel, to enable rapid recovery in areas severely damaged by large wildfires and in July by heavy downpours. Since 2011, it has supported marginalized groups through the HD Hyundai 1% Nanum Foundation, established through employees' salary sharing.
An HD Hyundai official said, "We hope this donation will provide at least a small help to neighbors going through a difficult time," and added, "We will continue to realize the value of sharing and build a warmer society."
