Emirates said on the 1st that it ordered eight Airbus A350-900 aircraft worth a total of $3.4 billion.
With this order, Emirates' A350-900 orders increase to 73, and deliveries of the new aircraft are set to begin in 2031.
Earlier, on the opening day of the Dubai Airshow 2025, Emirates ordered 65 Boeing 777-9 aircraft worth $38 billion. Including this additional A350 order, the aggregates of new aircraft orders announced during the airshow total $41.4 billion.
Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, chairman and CEO of Emirates and the group, said, "With the additional orders for the A350-900 and Boeing 777-9, Emirates has secured a total of 375 of the latest wide-body aircraft," adding it is "a large-scale investment in the future of the aviation industry through job creation and value enhancement."
