Woo Oh-hyun, chairman of SM Group, said to construction partners that, as the saying goes, "If you want to go far, go together," if we communicate based on trust, today's difficulties will become an opportunity to leap forward.
Chairman Woo Oh-hyun said this at the "2025 regular meeting with construction partners" held on the 26th at the Small and Medium Business DMC Tower in Mapo District, Seoul.
SM Group's regular meeting inviting construction partners has been held since 2019 as a venue to review the year's achievements and challenges, listen to diverse opinions from partners, and seek mutual development in the new year.
This year's meeting was attended by Chairman Woo, Lim Dong-bok, head of SM Group's construction division, as well as the CEOs of construction affiliates including Kyungnam Enterprise, Samwhan Corporation, Dong-Ah Construction Industrial, and Woobang, along with representatives from more than 60 partner companies.
SM Group selected Seongho SC, Boseong Tech, Shinhyun Construction, and Sungji Steel as "best partners" for outstanding performance this year, presented plaques of appreciation and modest prize money, and promised support for contract performance guarantee fees.
Woo said, "This year, we overcame difficult internal and external conditions and were able to reap meaningful results," adding, "Every year the business environment around us has been rough, and 2026 will be no different, but the more that is the case, if we trust and rely on each other as reliable companions, growth will be sustainable and even crisis will be on our side."
