LS ELECTRIC said on the 17th that it recently signed a contract worth 110 billion won to supply power infrastructure for an artificial intelligence (AI) data center in North America.
Under the deal, LS ELECTRIC will supply power distribution transformer-based power supply solutions to a large AI data center complex in the United States from next year through 2028.
LS ELECTRIC has been supplying circuit breakers in large volumes to the customer with whom it signed this contract since 2022. LS ELECTRIC said the result reflects recognition for its project execution capabilities and quality reliability through existing business.
Earlier, on the 10th, LS ELECTRIC said it signed a contract to supply switchgear and transformers to provide power to a data center being built in Tennessee. This project, too, was an additional order from an existing customer.
It is expected that the more local customer references (project track records) accumulate, the more the company can build a "virtuous cycle" structure of winning additional business.
An LS ELECTRIC official said, "This order reflects that global data center customers recognized both LS ELECTRIC's technological prowess and reliability," and added, "With the spread of AI and cloud, we will be able to continuously identify new business and expand operations in the North American market where demand for power infrastructure is surging."
