Honda Korea said on the 13th that it will launch the partial-change sixth-generation model of the CR-V hybrid sport utility vehicle (SUV), the "2026 New CR-V Hybrid," in Korea and begin full-fledged sales.
First launched in 1995, the CR-V has established itself as Honda's representative SUV model. Over the 30 years since its release, it has sold more than 15 million units cumulatively in about 150 countries.
The sixth-generation model was introduced in Korea in 2023 under the name "CR-V Hybrid." The 2026 model launched by Honda Korea is a partial change of the sixth generation, with added safety and convenience features reflecting customer feedback.
For safety features, the blind spot information (BSI) system and cross traffic monitor (CTM) have been added. Adaptive cruise control (ACC) and lane keeping assist system (LKAS) are also included. For convenience, heated side mirrors and second-row heated seats have been added, and a tonneau cover has been newly applied.
The powertrain pairs the same 2.0-liter (L) direct-injection engine as the existing CR-V with a fourth-generation two-motor hybrid system. The engine delivers a maximum output of 147 horsepower and a peak torque of 18.6 kg·m. The motor delivers a maximum output of 184 horsepower and a peak torque of 34 kg·m.
Honda Korea said the 2026 CR-V offers best-in-class space utilization. The second-row legroom has been expanded, and the trunk expands to a maximum of 2,166 L.
The 2026 CR-V Hybrid comes in two trims by drive type. Prices are ▲ 2WD 52.8 million won ▲ 4WD 55.8 million won.
