Doosan Robotics said on the 6th that its artificial intelligence (AI)-based robot solution "Scan & Go" won the Best of Innovation in the AI category and an Innovation Award in the robotics category at "CES 2026," the world's largest electronics and IT exhibition.
The CES Innovation Awards are given by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA) ahead of CES, held every January in Las Vegas, to products with outstanding technology and innovation. Only one or two companies in each category can receive the Best of Innovation.
Scan & Go combines a robot arm and an autonomous mobile robot on a single platform and applies physics-informed AI and advanced 3D vision to perform various tasks on its own. It is an innovative product that can scan the surfaces of large composite structures such as turbine blades, aircraft fuselages, and building exteriors, generate optimal work paths, and then carry out tasks such as inspection, sanding, and grinding.
There is no need to create separate design drawings for complex work, saving time, and it offers working precision at the 0.1 mm level. Torque sensors mounted on the six axes of the robot arm allow real-time force control even when work surfaces differ, while also securing industry-leading safety.
Chief Executive Kim Min-pyo of Doosan Robotics said, "We are doing everything we can to develop AI robot solutions that can be deployed to worksites immediately in order to realize the business vision presented early this year. Next year we will unveil a variety of AI robot solutions to the market that solve real problems in industrial settings."
