The Korea branch of the global premium commercial vehicle brand Scania, Scania Korea Group, launched the 2026 model-year Scania Super on the 3rd.
The 2026 Scania Super introduced this time features comprehensive enhancements in safety, driving performance and driver convenience compared with the previous model. In addition to features that were previously standard, such as the lane departure warning system (LDW) and blind spot warning system based on camera and radar sensors, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) including lane change warning (LCP) and a lane departure prevention device with active steering will be expanded to cargo models.
An upgraded automatic emergency braking system (AEB) and a pedestrian collision avoidance warning system have also been newly added, implementing more advanced safety functions that can protect not only vehicles but also pedestrians and bicyclists and other road users. A driver attention warning system was also newly applied. This system continuously monitors the driver's driving patterns and vehicle condition and provides visual and auditory warnings when it detects drowsy driving or reduced attention, preventing accident risks in advance.
Driving performance and driver convenience have also been further improved. The electronic sun blind, previously applied only to the top 770-horsepower tractor model, has been expanded to all S-cab trims, and the electronic steering system (EAS) has also been expanded to all models, further enhancing steering responsiveness and driving stability. In addition, an integrated digital tachograph with Hi-pass is now standard on all tractor and cargo models, enabling driver convenience and efficient operation management.
The Scania Super is a model equipped with a 13-liter engine that Scania completed through research and development with an investment of about 2.9 trillion won. Based on an overwhelming fuel efficiency improvement of "8% better fuel economy" compared with the previous model, it has received consistently favorable reviews since its first launch in the Korean market in 2023.
The next-generation digital dashboard introduced last year, the "Smart Dash," will also be updated to include features such as Apple CarPlay support. The Smart Dash supports a more convenient and enhanced driving experience by providing efficient driving information through a fully digital 12.3-inch driver instrument cluster and a centrally located 12.9-inch HD information display.
Service solution products will also be further diversified with the launch of the 2026 model. In addition to Care5, Ecolution and EcoCare, which maximize expense and fuel efficiency and utilization rates, a control package that strengthens vehicle management functions based on next-generation connected technology and the Guardian service, which supports proactive diagnostics through vehicle condition monitoring, will be newly added in 2026.
Ekaterina Ermolenkova, chief executive of Scania Korea Group, said the 2026 Scania Super has been upgraded through advanced technology to protect not only drivers but all users on the road and to provide a better driving experience, adding, "We will also provide a variety of service solutions together with the vehicle that optimize vehicle performance and maximize transport efficiency to help build our customers' business competitiveness and the future of sustainable transport."
