Doosan Bobcat said on the 30th that it posted sales of 2.1152 trillion won and operating profit of 133.6 billion won in the third quarter this year. Compared with a year earlier, sales and operating profit increased 19% and 6.3%, respectively. Net profit rose 27.3% over the same period to 81.9 billion won.
By region, sales in North America increased 17% from a year earlier, and Europe, the Middle East and Africa also grew 16%. Sales in Asia, Latin America and Oceania fell 9%.
By product, sales in the core business of compact equipment grew 20%. Sales in portable power increased 16%, while industrial vehicles fell 9%.
Doosan Bobcat said it maintained strong cash generation in the third quarter. As of the end of the third quarter, net cash increased by about $141 million (201.4 billion won) compared with the end of last year. Doosan Bobcat held a board meeting that day and set the quarterly dividend at 400 won per common share. The dividend yield is 0.6%. The scheduled dividend payment date is on the 28th of next month.
