Asiana Airlines said on the 29th that it will launch new routes to Milan, Italy, starting Mar. 31, 2026, and to Budapest, Hungary, starting Apr. 3. By consecutively opening routes to two European cities, it plans to strengthen its European network.
The Incheon–Milan route will operate three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, departing Incheon Airport at 1:40 p.m. and arriving at Milan Airport at 8 p.m. local time. From Milan Airport, it will depart at 10 p.m. local time and arrive at Incheon Airport at 4:40 p.m. the next day.
Milan, located in northern Italy, is regarded as a global center of fashion and design and a key hub of the European economy. As Italy's economic capital, where the luxury industry and international exhibitions are vibrant, it has served as a center of commerce and finance.
The Incheon–Budapest route will operate twice a week on Fridays and Sundays. It will depart Incheon Airport at 12:35 p.m. and arrive at Budapest Airport at 6:05 p.m. local time.
From Budapest Airport, it will depart at 8 p.m. local time and arrive at Incheon Airport at 1:40 p.m. the next day. In addition, to accommodate customer schedules, an increase of one weekly flight is being pursued.
Budapest, the capital of Hungary, is so rich in architecture and cultural heritage that it is called the "Paris of Eastern Europe." As a city where investments by Korean corporations are actively continuing, the new service is expected to contribute to strengthening cultural exchanges and economic cooperation between Korea and Hungary.
An A350 aircraft with 311 seats (28 business, 283 economy) will be deployed on both routes, and as it is the latest equipment, it is expected to offer passengers an even more comfortable flight experience.
Meanwhile, starting in September 2026, the Incheon–Barcelona route will also be increased from five weekly flights to seven.
