Mercedes-Benz Korea Ltd. has introduced an upgraded electric vehicle charging service.
On the 24th, Mercedes-Benz Korea announced the launch of MB.CHARGE Public, an integrated charging service, along with an affordable single-rate plan, MB.CHARGE Public PLUS, to enhance the charging experience for Mercedes-Benz EV and plug-in hybrid customers.
The MB.CHARGE Public service is an upgraded, Mercedes-Benz-exclusive charging solution that builds on the previous Mercedes me Charge program. It is designed to improve convenience and customer satisfaction across the entire charging experience by enhancing accessibility, offering reasonable charging rates, and expanding digital services.
Mercedes-Benz EV customers already have access to about 90% of public charging stations nationwide, including those operated by GS CHARGEV, Korea's largest charging network, and its roaming partners. With the new MB.CHARGE Public membership card, customers can now enjoy even greater charging convenience.
The MB.CHARGE Public membership covers all Mercedes-Benz electric and plug-in hybrid models from the 2019 model year onward. It will first be provided to 2026 model-year vehicles and gradually rolled out within the year to customers with earlier models.

Alongside the new service, Mercedes-Benz Korea is also introducing MB.CHARGE Public PLUS, an affordable single-rate plan designed to reduce charging costs for EV customers. Under this plan, users can charge at 199 won per kWh for AC charging and 299 won per kWh for DC fast charging at GS CHARGEV and its roaming partner stations. With this pricing, customers can save about 32% on AC charging and 10% on DC charging when using GS CHARGEV stations, and about 48% on AC and 22% on DC compared with average roaming rates at partner stations.
Notably, customers purchasing 2026 model-year EVs will receive the PLUS plan free of charge for up to one year, allowing them to experience the enhanced charging benefits at no cost. After the complimentary period, the plan can be renewed through the Mercedes-Benz Store.
With the launch of MB.CHARGE Public, Mercedes-Benz Korea has integrated all charging-related features into the Mercedes-Benz app and expanded the available information to improve usability. Customers can now access a wide range of details through a single app — including nearby charging station locations along Electric Intelligence-based navigation routes, real-time availability, operating hours, and estimated charging time. New features such as station congestion forecasts, estimated charging fees, and detailed session and monthly charging histories have also been added, offering a more comprehensive overview of the charging experience.
In addition, major services available in the app can also be accessed through the MBUX in-vehicle infotainment system. Customers can view charging information directly on the central display, and when using GS CHARGEV chargers, they can authenticate and pay through MBUX without a physical card — making the charging process simpler and more convenient.
