Chung Ki-sun, chairman of HD Hyundai, will deliver a keynote address at a shipbuilding forum held as a side event to the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) CEO summit.
According to HD Hyundai on the 21st, Chairman Chung will take the stage as the keynote speaker at the Future Tech Forum: Shipbuilding, which opens on the 27th, to introduce HD Hyundai technologies leading the future of the shipbuilding industry, including artificial intelligence (AI), decarbonization solutions, and manufacturing innovation, and to present a vision for global shipbuilding cooperation centered on defense.
The four-day Future Tech Forum: Shipbuilding is a venue to discuss the future direction of shipbuilding and technological innovation, and key figures from HD Hyundai's major partners—Huntington Ingalls, Anduril, the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS), Siemens, and Persona AI—will also participate as speakers.
In each session, the speakers will hold joint discussions on HD Hyundai and the global shipbuilding industry's innovation and ways to expand cooperation under the themes ▲ a new era of maritime defense ▲ the present and future of the shipbuilding industry ▲ the future of shipyards: AI-based manufacturing innovation ▲ strategic cooperation between Korea and the United States in shipbuilding.
An HD Hyundai official said, "This forum will be a meaningful venue to seek cooperation on the challenges facing the shipbuilding industry and to discuss the future of the industry," adding, "As a central corporations in the global shipbuilding industry, we will present insights and a vision for the industry's development."
