Genesis brand (hereafter Genesis) launched the model year change for its luxury mid-size SUV GV70, the 2026 GV70, on the 20th. Reflecting customer feedback, it strengthened basic NVH performance and optimized package configurations.
Genesis raised NVH performance on the 2026 GV70 by adding an "under cover sound-absorbing material" and by adding an "engine support damper," which reduces engine vibration transmission, to the 2.5 turbo model.
The packages were reconfigured into a sport package and a popular package.
Genesis changed the electronic limited-slip differential (e-LSD), which had been included in the existing GV70 gasoline 2.5 turbo 19-inch wheel model's "sport package," to an optional feature to expand customer choice. It changed the molding material and color of the sport package to match the Genesis black lineup, expanded the application of genuine leather to the seats of the "standard design," and raised design refinement by, among other things, adding a new interior color with gray stitching to the "obsidian black/vanilla beige two-tone" combination of the "sport design selection II."
At the same time, Genesis changed "popular package I" to a combination of "head-up display" and "driving assistance package I," and reconfigured "popular package II" into popular package I, "driving assistance package II," "second-row comfort package," and "built-in cam package."
In the existing "convenience package," the front seat console armrest storage ultraviolet sterilization function was removed, and the existing "second-row comfort package" was optimized by adding a luggage mat, luggage screen, luggage net, and a rear-seat 220V power outlet to the package configuration.
Genesis added a new exterior color, "Bering Blue," to the 2026 GV70 to emphasize a luxurious and dynamic design.
In addition, the 2026 GV70's rear features GENESIS lettering applied alone to achieve a clean, modern design, and on the side, a "floating wheel cap" that keeps the emblem horizontal while driving will be newly offered as a Genesis accessory.
The 2026 GV70's retail prices are 53,180,000 won for the gasoline 2.5 turbo and 58,600,000 won for the gasoline 3.5 turbo. (※ 2WD, special consumption tax 3.5% basis)
