The Pine Beach Golf Links in Haenam County, South Jeolla Province, where the "BMW Ladies Championship 2025" is being held, is exactly like that. Exhibits that car enthusiasts simply cannot pass by are set up throughout the course.
Among them, the space that most strongly tempts the gallery is the "gallery plaza."
The "BMW Ladies Championship 2025" gallery plaza is spaciously located just before entering the tournament venue, Pine Beach Golf Links. A typical tournament gallery plaza is usually set up as a resting area lined with food options. But the "BMW Ladies Championship 2025" gallery plaza adds sights to the food. Visitors to the tournament hesitate in their steps as if momentarily confused about their original purpose for visiting.
BMW Korea has decorated the gallery plaza as an outdoor mini motor show at every tournament, but this year the presence of the display cars is even more emphasized as they harmonize with the scenery of Pine Beach Golf Links.
In particular, the first "New M5 Touring" to enter the country is on display at this year's tournament, capturing the gallery's attention. The "New M5 Touring" is proudly showing off in the M zone within the gallery plaza.
In fact, this car has not yet been officially launched domestically. It is scheduled for release at the end of this year. Its appearance is that of a traditional wagon, but it is a high-performance model bearing the M badge.
The model is equipped with an M twinpower turbo V8 4.4-liter gasoline engine combined with fifth-generation BMW eDrive technology in an M hybrid system, delivering powerful performance of 727 horsepower. It takes only 3.6 seconds to reach 62 mph from a standstill, realizing BMW M's explosive performance and driving sensibility.
At the gallery plaza, the i7 xDrive60 BMW Korea 30th anniversary special edition also catches visitors' eyes.
At the center stage of the gallery plaza, the i7 dressed in dazzling attire gives a strong impression. It is a special vehicle that collaborated with contemporary art master Lee Gun-yong to apply a unique art wrapping to the high-performance luxury electric sedan i7 M70 xDrive. Produced to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of BMW Korea's Korean corporation, this model was applied with the country's first BMW Individual Manufaktur program, adding rarity and uniqueness.
The car, with Lee Gun-yong's signature covering the front windshield, became a "moving canvas" for the artist. For half a century Lee has explored bodily movement to build a unique artistic world. The collaboration with BMW was given meaning as a meeting of two artistic entities mediated by "movement." The work description that "the lines left on the i7 are not just traces but a new artistic language created together by human body movement and machine movement" defines the value of the collaboration.
A special viewing point of this year's tournament is the hole-in-one event for the gallery. BMW Korea, in gratitude for the gallery's support, prepared a "guess the hole-in-one player" event for visitors attending the tournament. During the tournament, among gallery members who predicted the player who will record a hole-in-one on the 8th hole, a correct guesser will be drawn to receive MINI's high-performance SUV model the New MINI JCW Countryman.
Also, the first player to record a hole-in-one on the 13th hole and the 15th hole will be awarded an i7 xDrive50 and an iX xDrive45 respectively as prizes.
The BMW Ladies Championship 2025 features an almost full lineup from BMW Group Korea.
Among them are the XM Label, which carries the most powerful powertrain in BMW M history; high-performance compact models M135 and M235 xDrive Gran Coupe; the all-electric MINI JCW Ace Man; and the retro enduro motorcycle R 12 G/S, allowing visitors to see BMW Group's diverse lineup.
At the entrance to the gallery plaza, the high-performance pure electric flagship SAV iX M70 xDrive First Edition is also on display, and key pure electric lineup models such as the i5 and i4 M50 xDrive Gran Coupe make visitors stop in their tracks.
