A worker from a partner company who was working at the Hanwha Ocean Geoje site died after colliding with a structure during work.
According to the industry on the 17th, that morning at the Hanwha Ocean Geoje shipyard, a worker from a partner company belonging to the scaffold support team was struck in the chest by a steel structure when a guide frame toppled over inside the system scaffold yard.
The worker was immediately transported to a nearby hospital but was pronounced dead at 11:43 a.m.
A Hanwha Ocean official said, "We offer our deepest condolences to the deceased, and we will immediately provide details and the company's position as soon as they are accurately confirmed."
