The training brand that combines boxing and running, HITRUN, said on the 16th that it has opened its first offline studio at Yellow Ground, a multi-cultural complex in Jangchung-dong, Seoul.
HITRUN aims to "expand exercise into everyday culture" and presents itself as a community-based fitness brand that goes beyond a gym to foster consolidation between people. A coaching staff that includes a direct disciple of world champion Choi Yong-su and the Asia super welterweight champion runs structured training and community programs.
The Jangchung location is HITRUN's first offline base and pursues an "urban fitness community that builds relationships through exercise." It offers programs that combine boxing training and running. Members can take part in a range of activities, including individual and group instruction and runs.
HITRUN operates Running Day every Friday. On the 1st of next month, it plans to hold an inauguration ceremony for its in-house running crew. On the 2nd, it held its first running event around Jangchung and Namsan in Seoul. After running the Namsan course together, participants continued with a boxing class at the HITRUN studio. Members also formed relationships as they shared meals and conversations.
Kim Chi-heon, CEO of HITRUN, said, "HITRUN is not just a boxing gym but a community that fosters consolidation among people through exercise and helps them regain vitality in daily life," adding, "We will spread a healthy urban fitness ecosystem with a new training culture that combines boxing and running."
