POSCO FUTURE M disclosed on the 14th that it signed a large-scale supply contract for natural graphite anode materials with a global automaker.
According to POSCO FUTURE M, the contract period is four years starting in Oct. 2027, and the amount is 671 billion won. It said only that the sales and supply region is overseas.
This contract is the largest since POSCO FUTURE M began its secondary battery anode material business in 2011, equivalent to 18.1% of last year's annual sales.
POSCO FUTURE M supplies anode materials to the three domestic battery makers—LG Energy Solution, SK On, and Samsung SDI—and in Jul. it also signed a contract with a Japanese battery company.
POSCO FUTURE M said, "The supply period can be extended through consultations with the customer going forward," and added, "The contract amount and period are subject to change."
