SK said on the 12th that it will host the "SK AI Summit 2025" on Dec. 3–4 at COEX in Gangnam District, Seoul, to discuss the future of the AI ecosystem with leading domestic and international artificial intelligence (AI) corporations.
The event aims to share SK Group's AI competitiveness across all areas, including semiconductors, energy solutions, AI data centers, and agent services, and to explore ways to collaborate not only with global big tech but also with academia.
In 2024, more than 30,000 people participated both online and offline, establishing it as Korea's largest AI event.
This year's theme is "AI Now & Next (executing today's innovation, preparing for tomorrow's leap)." SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won will introduce value creation for society through AI and SK's AI ecosystem strategy in a keynote speech.
The summit will also be attended by Anthropic co-founder Ben Mann, Nvidia head of semiconductor engineering Tim Costa, and Kakao CEO Chung Shin-a, among other key domestic and international figures. SK Telecom President Ryu Young-sang and SK hynix President Kwak Noh-jung will share their views on AI infrastructure and AI memory, respectively.
Global big tech leaders who have worked with SK Group will share collaboration cases and future strategies. The exhibition institutional sector will expand participation beyond SK Group affiliates to include startups, academia, and overseas corporations.
Key affiliates such as SK Telecom, SK hynix, and SK AX will unveil AI infrastructure, AI models, and AI transformation (AIX) technologies. Global corporations will showcase the latest AI technologies so that domestic visitors can grasp global AI trends at a glance.
Startups and university students who took part in SK Group's AI capability-building programs will also participate to showcase their potential as future AI leaders.
As a side event, the "SK AI Summit 2025 Claude Code Builder Hackathon" will be held. Anthropic co-founder Ben Mann will attend in person to exchange views with participants.
Ahead of the summit, on Nov. 28, SK Group will host the APEC (Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation) Leaders' Meeting CEO Summit side event "Future Tech Forum AI." At the event, Chairman Chey will share Korea's experience and vision in building an AI ecosystem.
Attendees at the "Future Tech Forum AI" will include Presidential Office Senior Secretary for AI Future Planning Ha Jung-woo, AWS CEO Matt Garman, Naver CEO Choi Soo-yeon, OpenAI Korea Country Manager Kim Kyung-hoon, and Stanford University Institute for Human-Centered AI (HAI) Professor Choi Ye-jin, who will discuss the future of the global AI ecosystem.
