BMW Korea (CEO Han Sang-yoon) will introduce two October online limited-edition models commemorating the 50th anniversary of the BMW 3 Series on Oct. 15 at 3 p.m. through BMW Shop Online.
First launched in 1975, the BMW 3 Series set the standard for premium sports sedans and established itself as a model representing its class beyond the brand. Also, over the past half-century it has sold more than 20 million units worldwide, continuing its reputation as a bestseller, and it remains the first and only single model from a premium brand to achieve such a record.
The October online limited editions commemorating the 50th anniversary of the BMW 3 Series are the BMW 320i M Sport Pro Special Edition and the BMW M340i xDrive Touring Pro Special Edition.
The BMW 320i M Sport Pro Special Edition is a special limited edition that adds the M Sport Pro package to the regular model, creating a more sporty yet elegant charm.
The exterior is painted in BMW Individual Frozen Pure Gray Metallic paint, whose matte depth stands out and gives it a distinctive presence. In addition, the M Sport Package Pro, composed of the M light shadow line, M high-gloss shadow line extended, M rear spoiler, M sport brakes with red calipers, and M seat belts, was applied to complete a more dynamic atmosphere.
In addition, the parking assistant that helps with convenient parking has been upgraded from standard to plus. Along with the parking assistant that recognizes parking spaces and performs parking by itself and the reversing assistant that helps steering to easily retrace a path up to 50 meters, surround view and remote 3D view, which allow a 360-degree view around the vehicle, were added to enhance parking convenience and safety.
The 320i M Sport Pro Special Edition is equipped with a BMW TwinPower Turbo inline four-cylinder gasoline engine that produces a maximum output of 190 horsepower and a maximum torque of 31.6 kg·m, and it is combined with 48V mild hybrid technology that improves both acceleration responsiveness and fuel efficiency. It is also fitted with an 8-speed Steptronic Sport automatic transmission.
The price of the BMW 320i M Sport Pro Special Edition is 71.9 million won, and only 20 units will be sold (including VAT, based on application of a 3.5% special consumption tax).
The BMW M340i xDrive Touring Pro Special Edition is a limited-sale model differentiated by adding tasteful BMW Individual paint and premium specifications to the M340i xDrive Touring, which perfectly balances powerful performance and excellent practicality.
The exterior features BMW Individual Frozen Pure Gray Metallic, which creates an urban and refined atmosphere. In addition, 19-inch M light alloy double-spoke jet black wheels and red brake calipers, which reveal the identity of the high-performance model, are fitted to emit a stronger presence.
The interior uses merino leather, the finest material, as the trim, and customers can choose between the chic brown "Tartufo" or the elegant "Ivory White," completing an even more dignified and sophisticated atmosphere.
The M340i xDrive Touring Pro Special Edition is equipped with a BMW TwinPower Turbo inline six-cylinder gasoline engine that delivers a maximum output of 381 horsepower and a maximum torque of 55.1 kg·m, and it adds 48V mild hybrid technology that supports more agile acceleration response and excellent fuel efficiency. The time to accelerate from a standstill to 62 mph is only 4.6 seconds, and the electronically limited top speed is 155 mph.
The BMW M340i xDrive Touring Pro Special Edition will be sold in a limited run of 30 units, and the price is 101 million won (including VAT, based on application of a 3.5% special consumption tax).
