Korea Midland Power (KOMIPO) said on the 2nd that the activities of the "2025 Dubai market development delegation," which it dispatched to Dubai, United Arab Emirates, were successfully completed.
The market development delegation visited the site for three nights and five days from Sept. 28 to Oct. 2 and held a total of 35 consultations through an export counseling session. It achieved $9.71 million (about 13.6 billion won) in consultation volume and $2.6 million (about 3.65 billion won) in potential contracts.
The delegation included five small and medium-sized companies that introduced key products, including ▲ Newtok Korea (electric actuators) ▲ Vision Tech (LED lighting) ▲ Sungil Turbine (turbine blades).
Afterward, the delegation attended WETEX 2025, the largest energy exhibition in the Middle East, to examine global energy industry trends and explore ways to expand overseas sales channels.
They also visited Cseal International, a global company in the industrial valve sector, and Quantum Energy, an energy equipment and solutions trading corporations, to discuss cooperation measures. They then visited the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) Dubai trade office to share strategies and information for entering the Middle Eastern market.
On this dispatch, the delegation identified the Middle Eastern market's unique industrial environment, including moving away from oil dependence, energy diversification, expanded investment by sovereign wealth funds, and the in-country value (ICV) system that evaluates the ratio of local production.
Lee Young-jo, president of Korea Midland Power (KOMIPO), said, "I am satisfied that this market development delegation has created a foothold for partner corporations to enter the Middle East," adding, "We will continue to spare no effort in developing and supporting overseas sales channels in various regions."
