KEPCO KDN said on the 2nd that it held the 2025 integrity citizen auditor appointment and regular meeting on the 29th at the Baeksong Law Firm office in Seocho-gu, Seoul.
New integrity citizen auditors include attorney Park Yun-hae, attorney Jeong Won-jin, and Kim Seong-gyun, head of Cham Accounting Firm.
KEPCO KDN's integrity citizen auditor system grants an independent status to monitor, investigate, and evaluate major project execution and areas vulnerable to integrity and corruption from an expert's objective perspective and to propose institutional improvements. It has been implemented since 2022, and the term is two years.
The regular meeting that day was attended by Jeong Yeon-bok, head of compliance management at KEPCO KDN, newly appointed external experts serving as integrity citizen auditors, and KEPCO KDN working-level officials, and proceeded with the integrity citizen auditor appointment ceremony, two reporting agenda items, and discussions on recommendations for institutional improvement.
During discussions on the agenda items of the regular meeting—progress in promoting ethical management and improvements in areas vulnerable to corruption—the integrity citizen auditors recommended: ▲ presenting clear standards for the integrity mileage system ▲ revising detailed rules to operate an effective conflict-of-interest prevention system.
A KEPCO KDN official said, "Through the objective perspectives and opinions of external experts, we will complete transparent and fair management and raise the company's integrity by creating synergy with internal experts in the process of improving and consulting on KEPCO KDN's integrity systems."
