Volvo Car Korea is accelerating sales of the EX30 Cross Country (EX30CC).
The EX30CC is the brand's first model that combines Volvo's distinctive "Cross Country" lineup with a pure electric sport utility vehicle (SUV). It was developed to deliver outstanding performance in Sweden's harsh winters and rugged terrain while providing comfort to the driver.
The EX30CC combines an all-wheel-drive (AWD) system with powerful twin motors. It takes 3.7 seconds to accelerate from a standstill to 100 kph. That is on par with high-performance models such as the BMW i4 M60 xDrive (3.7 seconds) and Porsche Taycan GTS (3.7 seconds).
The EX30CC's exterior conveys performance and solidity. Along with the front and rear black shield design, wheels and wheel arches exclusive to the EX30CC create a sturdy, cohesive impression. The ground clearance is 19 mm higher than the standard EX30, emphasizing a more powerful stance. The interior follows a single theme called the "Pine room," inspired by pine and fir leaves in Scandinavian forests. Sustainable materials are used throughout, including a wool blend made with recycled polyester.
The EX30CC adds three in-cabin environment support modes to help refresh the driver's mood. "Refresh mode" runs the climate system at maximum for about three minutes to cycle the cabin air and adjusts the lighting to a comfortable setting. "Rest mode" adjusts the seat position, interior lighting, and temperature for a period set by the driver. There is also "parking comfort mode," which supports a pleasant environment while staying in the car after parking. It keeps the climate control and entertainment systems running for up to eight hours or until the battery level drops below 20%.
The EX30CC also features Volvo's cutting-edge safety technology, "safety space technology," which protects drivers from accident risks and minimizes damage. ◇ Driver alert system ◇ door opening alert ◇ Pilot Assist ◇ blind-spot alert and steering assist ◇ road departure prevention and protection ◇ rear cross-traffic alert ◇ next-generation Park Pilot Assist are also standard.
The EX30CC was launched in a single Twin Motor Performance trim that combines a 66 kWh nickel-cobalt-manganese (NCM) battery, two motors, and an AWD system. Its single-charge driving range is 329 km on the combined standard, and using up to 153 kW fast charging, it takes about 28 minutes to charge to 80%. The domestic price is 55.16 million won, set lower than in key markets such as Sweden (609,000 krona, about 91 million won).
