Hyundai Motor said on the 1st it is beginning sales of the high-performance electric sedan Ioniq 6 N.
The Ioniq 6 N is the second high-performance electrified model from Hyundai N. Hyundai Motor explained that it is a vehicle that will satisfy customers both on the track and in everyday driving, with a body that secures powerful power performance, high-speed driving stability, and everyday driving convenience at the same time, and N high-performance electrification specifications that deliver a thrilling driving feel.
The Ioniq 6 N, offered in a single trim, can be purchased for 79.9 million won when including the 3.5% special consumption tax and eco-friendly vehicle tax benefits. Here, the price falls further if buyers receive electric vehicle subsidies that vary by local government.
The Ioniq 6 N is equipped with front and rear motors that deliver a combined maximum output of 448 kW (kilowatts, 609 horsepower) and maximum torque of 740 Nm (75.5 kgf·m). When using N Green Boost, which delivers maximum acceleration performance for a set time, the combined maximum output and maximum torque rise to 478 kW (650 horsepower) and 770 Nm (78.5 kgf·m), respectively.
Hyundai Motor applied a high-output 84.0 kWh (kilowatt-hours) battery and the N Battery function to the Ioniq 6 N. N Battery optimally controls battery temperature and output by driving purpose to help use power performance more efficiently. It also provides everyday ride comfort with a front hydro G bushing that reduces vibration and a rear dual-layer bushing that lessens vibrations from road irregularities.
A Hyundai Motor official said, "The Ioniq 6 N offers a comfortable ride in everyday driving and predictable behavior at the limit," adding, "With the launch of the Ioniq 6 N, we expect customers will have more options to experience Hyundai N and be able to enjoy high-performance models in daily life."
