It was found on the 24th that management and labor at Hanwha Aerospace (Hanwha Aero) reached a tentative agreement in the 2025 wage negotiations.
According to the defense industry, the tentative agreement prepared by Hanwha Aero's management and labor includes paying up to 5 million won per employee for a performance bonus tied to the operating profit target and up to 7.5 million won for achieving the production target, for a maximum of 12.5 million won per employee. It also includes a base pay increase. The increase is known to have an effect of 204,000 won in total, adding 169,000 won in the raise to 35,000 won counted from the base amount of holiday travel expenses.
The Hanwha Aero union plans to soon put the agreement to a vote of union members.
Earlier, management at Hanwha Aero offered the union a flat raise of 157,000 won last month, along with up to 5 million won in incentives for achieving the operating profit target and up to 5 million won in encouragement money for achieving the production target. The union demanded up to 15 million won each for achieving the operating profit target and for the production target.
A Hanwha Aero official said, "The wage negotiation procedure is underway," and added, "Nothing has been finalized yet."
