Hanwha Group will make early payments of 303.5 billion won in transaction proceeds to 2,620 partner companies for smooth cash management at partners and to boost domestic demand ahead of Chuseok.
The payments total 143 billion won at Hanwha Ocean, 76.3 billion won at Hanwha Aerospace, and 35.7 billion won at Hanwha Systems.
Hanwha Group has advanced payments ahead of holidays such as Seollal and Chuseok to ease partners' cash management burdens.
During Seollal, about 170 billion won was paid early, and during Chuseok last year, about 190 billion won was paid early.
Hanwha Group will also purchase 6.5 billion won worth of Onnuri gift certificates to distribute to employees to revitalize local commercial districts. Employees are expected to help create a virtuous cycle in the local economy by visiting traditional markets ahead of the holiday and using the Onnuri gift certificates.
Major affiliates including Hanwha Aerospace, Hanwha Ocean, and Hanwha Systems will carry out sharing activities for local communities ahead of the holiday.
Hanwha Aerospace will deliver rice and daily necessities to local seniors and the underprivileged at its business sites in Daejeon, Boeun, Changwon, and Yeosu. Hanwha Ocean will host holiday food-sharing and environmental cleanup events in Geoje with local residents, client company employees, and their families.
