KG Mobility (hereafter KGM) held a large-scale new car launch event in Germany. Inviting global dealerships and media representatives, it introduced the Musso EV and the Torres hybrid (hereafter Torres HEV).
The launch event was held at the Hilton Frankfurt Gravenbruch hotel in Neu-Isenburg, Germany, on the two days of the 17th and 18th local time. A total of 156 people attended, including KGM chairman Kwak Jae-seon, dealership representatives and press from 38 countries across Europe, the Middle East and Latin America, including Germany, Spain, the United Kingdom and Türkiye.
In his greeting, KGM chairman Kwak Jae-seon said the Musso EV, KGM's first electric pickup model launched in the global market, and the Torres HEV have both received favorable reviews in the domestic market and will be fully competitive in export markets, and added that the company plans to expand launches by implementing differentiated marketing strategies for each country starting with this launch.
He continued, noting that KGM exported 44,920 vehicles on a cumulative basis through August, showing a 10% increase over last year (40,848), which recorded the highest performance in 10 years, and said that prospects for this year look bright. He added the company will further increase sales volumes this year through expansion into existing and emerging markets, growth of KD operations, varied sales channels and strengthened communication and cooperation with local dealerships.
Chairman Kwak also held meetings with global dealerships to mutually share difficulties and suggestions, checked sales situations such as local customer responses, and encouraged the efforts of the dealerships.
The test drive course covered a total of 130 km (65 km one way), including 17 km along the Rhine River road from Mainz to Koblenz, passing traditional villages with scenic views such as old castles and wineries.
