Hyundai Mobis said on the 17th that it has built the software-defined vehicle (SDV) development platform "Mobis Development Studio" in partnership with U.S. software company Wind River.
Mobis Development Studio features an intuitive user interface (UI) that provides development environments for each in-vehicle controller and boosts development efficiency through test automation.
Hyundai Mobis plans to use the system, optimized for SDV development, for parts design, verification, and evaluation. Because it can simulate core technologies and products in various environments, it is expected to improve development completeness and cut expense.
Jeong Su-gyeong, head of the electrification BU at Hyundai Mobis, said, "It will help accelerate innovation in next-generation intelligent in-vehicle software development," adding, "We are speeding up expansion into a next-generation development system that incorporates artificial intelligence (AI)."
