SK Gas said on the 14th that it signed an exclusive marketing agreement with Renault Korea for the successful launch of the nation's first liquefied petroleum gas (LPG; Liquefied Petroleum Gas) hybrid vehicle.
SK Gas and Renault Korea plan to designate each company's representative to draw up concrete execution plans and collaboration procedures, and to maximize strategic synergy by actively leveraging their respective technologies and know-how.
Earlier, Renault Korea said it would unveil an LPG hybrid model within a few years through mass-production development cooperation with the Korea LPG Association. SK Gas decided to provide 1 billion won to support mass-production development through the Korea LPG Association.
Baek Heum-jeong, head of eco energy at SK Gas, said, "Through the marketing agreement, we will continue to work to provide new value and experiences to customers and to promote mutual growth in the LPG mobility industry."
