Bridgestone's domestic corporation Bridgestone Tire Sales Korea (CEO Kim Heon-young, hereinafter Bridgestone) provided free tire inspection services for vehicles operated by domestic welfare facilities during July and August.
Bridgestone Korea provided free tire inspection services to a total of five welfare institutions and 95 vehicles: 12 vehicles from Baekam Daycare Center on July 21, 28 vehicles from Kkumnamu Village on Aug. 12, 18 vehicles from House That Raises Dreams on Aug. 13, 25 vehicles from Seongyuk Childcare Center on Aug. 19, and 12 vehicles from Jion Childcare Center on Aug. 26.
The free inspection service was not limited to supplying tire products; it also provided safety inspections of the tires mounted on vehicles for safer and more comfortable travel. Inspection items included tire condition checks, air pressure replenishment, washer fluid replenishment, and fog-type antibacterial deodorization. In addition to vehicles operated by the institutions, personal vehicles of institution staff also received the inspection service.
A representative of one of the institutions that received the free inspection service said, "Because these are vehicles for vulnerable road users such as children and the elderly, safety is the top priority, and Bridgestone Korea's tire inspection service, which inspected vehicle tires through on-site visits, was a great help," and added, "It had greater meaning than simply receiving supplies."
Song Kang-ho, Head of Team overseeing Bridgestone Korea's tire online business division Tire Select, said, "Rather than one-off material support, providing safety management services at the sites where vehicles actually operate is Bridgestone's differentiated approach to social contribution," and said, "We plan to expand free tire inspection service activities to various welfare facilities and institutions such as orphanages, senior care centers, facilities for people with disabilities, schools, hospitals, police stations and fire stations."
