Renault Korea said on the 10th that it released a model-year update of the mid-size sport utility vehicle (SUV) Grand Koleos one year after its launch.
The new model features a panoramic sunroof that provides a sense of openness. It uses a "top slider" method in which the sunroof glass panel opens upward and a "wind deflector" that reduces outside airflow. Renault Korea said that despite the sunroof, the cabin still offers generous headroom and interior space.
Reflecting customer feedback, the user interface (UI) was improved by adding a climate-control widget to the openR panoramic screen's home background. For infotainment, it newly offers "R: Arcade Game," a collection of 20 casual games, and "R: Beat," a karaoke service.
The new Grand Koleos Iconic and Esprit Alpine trims add "Satin Universe White," a matte exterior color. The gasoline turbo four-wheel drive (4WD) function was adjusted to be selectable in the mid-level Iconic trim, which is most preferred by customers.
With the launch of the new model, the special edition "Grand Koleos Escapade," targeting outdoor demand, was also unveiled. It comes in sunroof and roof box versions and includes dedicated 20-inch Highland alloy wheels, a black body kit, and wheel-arch and side moldings as standard.
Since starting first customer deliveries in September last year, the Grand Koleos has recorded cumulative sales of more than 50,000 units in one year. It won three "SUV of the Year" awards and received a top Grade 1 with the highest score among SUVs in the 2024 Korea New Car Assessment Program (KNCAP).
