INNOCEAN announced on the 8th that it has won a total of 12 awards, including 1 Best of the Best award and 11 main awards, at the Red Dot Design Award in Germany.
The Red Dot Design Award is considered one of the top three design awards in the world, along with the U.S. IDEA and Germany's iF Design Award. It recognizes innovative products and works each year across various institutional sectors such as product design, brand & communication design, and concept design.
The Best of the Best award in the 'Film Craft' category of this year's Red Dot Design Award was won by Hyundai Motor's 'Night Fishing' campaign. The Best of the Best award is just below the integrated Grand Prix award. It also claimed the main award in the content marketing sector. The 'Night Fishing' campaign is the first branded content to be officially screened in theaters domestically and is a work in the 'snack movie' format. Its fresh ideas, high-quality production, and unconventional promotional methods captured the attention of the industry and the public immediately upon release.
Another Hyundai Motor campaign, 'Mobile+Toilet', also won the main award in the digital campaign sector. Launched on April 1 for April Fools' Day, the project received high praise for its implementation of a unique concept of an imagined 'self-driving bathroom' using generative artificial intelligence (AI) in various digital content.
INNOCEAN's own social contribution project 'Safe Bathhouse' also received awards in the space communication sector and retail design sector simultaneously. 'Safe Bathhouse' is a project that completely renovated the 27-year-old old bathhouse 'Iljuk Bathhouse' in Anseong, Gyeonggi, to provide a safe bathing environment for elderly residents. The remodeling, along with the design of customer experiences considering users' lifestyles and safety elements, received positive reviews from the judging panel.
Additionally, the media art content 'Timeless Moment' from Shinsegae Department Store, Hanwha Group's corporate PR campaign 'Eco-Friendly Solutions on the Sea', and Samsonite's 'Butter' and 'American Tourister Rolio' campaigns also received main awards at the Red Dot.
