Boramex has collaborated with Myongji University Future Education Institute to enhance the sophistication and professionalism of the funeral industry. Boramex and Myongji University Future Education Institute announced on the 8th that they have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) and launched a 'Funeral Industry Management Major' program based on a credit bank system.
The 'Funeral Industry Management Major' is open to anyone with a high school diploma or higher, and upon completing a four-year course, students can earn a bachelor's degree. The curriculum reflects a balanced combination of practical and academic aspects of the funeral industry, covering areas such as management, economics, labor relations, real estate economics, marketing, financial management, and funeral director training.
The establishment of this major was realized after Kim Gi-tae, the representative of Boramex, emphasized the need for the development of the funeral industry and the training of specialized personnel, proposing it to Myongji University Future Education Institute. This collaboration is significant as it represents an agreement between the industry and educational institutions.
Both parties aim to elevate the professionalism of the industry and drive service innovation by channeling the talents produced through this program into the broader funeral industry. Boramex will provide practical know-how accumulated in the field, while Myongji University Future Education Institute will support the systematic training of funeral industry managers with academic foundations and educational infrastructure.
They see this as a stepping stone to jointly develop VVIP funeral services, further broadening the horizons of funeral culture.
