LIG Nex1 held an opening ceremony on Dec. 4 (local time) in Munich, Germany, and announced on the 8th the establishment of its European representative office, which will serve as a hub for collaboration in Europe. This is interpreted as a strategy to build a collaborative framework with major defense corporations in Europe and strengthen strategic partnerships.
Through this acquisition of a local base in Europe, LIG Nex1 plans to promote cooperation in various fields, including research and development, production, and marketing with local corporations. To secure localized partnerships, it also plans to propose customized solutions across a product range covering guided weapons, command and control communications, and electronic warfare. The company is also exploring the potential for collaboration in advanced fields such as AI, quantum, and space.
A representative of LIG Nex1 noted, "The overseas business efforts, pursued with firm belief for a long time, have led to the establishment of a global network through securing key bases in Europe, the Middle East, Asia, South America, and the United States," adding, "We will strive to lay the foundation for future growth through overseas cooperation beyond exports."
