Healthcare corporation Bodyfriend reported on the 3rd that its healthcare robot exports increased by 363% in August compared to the same period last year. This surge in technology exports has accelerated its efforts to penetrate overseas markets.
According to Bodyfriend, its technology export amount in the first half of this year surpassed last year's total. Reflecting the increasing trend, it is expected to achieve an annual performance approaching four times that of the previous year.
The growth in technology exports is attributed to overseas massage chair manufacturers actively adopting healthcare robot technology. A Bodyfriend official noted, "Through the dissemination of healthcare robot technology, we will not only realize a 10-year extension of the health span for overseas consumers but also prove the potential of K-healthcare, which is a future growth engine for Korea."
Bodyfriend will expand into the healthcare robot market starting from the IFA electronics show in Berlin, Germany, which opens on the 5th.
