This meeting was arranged to explain the government's implementation plans that reflect various policy opinions presented by small and medium-sized enterprises, associations, organizations, and experts during the first meeting on technology protection held on the 1st of last month and to facilitate discussions.
During the first meeting, the Ministry of SMEs and Startups heard on-site opinions regarding ▲ addressing 'information imbalance' in technology theft lawsuits ▲ accurate calculation of damages ▲ strengthening sanctions against acts of technology theft from small and medium-sized enterprises.
On that day, the Ministry of SMEs and Startups presented detailed implementation plans, including ▲ the introduction and establishment of a Korean-style disclosure system ▲ preparing standard guidelines to realize damage calculations and expanding their use during the lawsuit process ▲ strengthening sanctions against acts of technology theft from small and medium-sized enterprises ▲ and enhancing inter-ministerial cooperation for initial response to technology theft damage.
The Ministry of SMEs and Startups plans to rapidly announce the 'Measures to Eradicate Technology Theft from Small and Medium-sized Enterprises,' which include these discussion points, and to accelerate detailed follow-up measures for each task through inter-ministerial collaboration.
