Toyota Korea announced on the 1st that it will hold the 'Toyota Proper Dog Festival 2025' at Gwanggyo Lake Park on September 27 and 28.
'Toyota Proper Dog Festival 2025' is an open festival for spreading proper pet culture and for both pet owners and non-pet owners to connect, and it is part of the 'Toyota Proper Dog Campaign' that started in 2023. This year, it will be expanded as a standalone event, and the agility competition will introduce a professional institutional sector in addition to the novice and beginner institutional sectors, showcasing even more diverse programs.
This festival will consist of five areas: playground, stage, family zone, Toyota lounge, and agility competition. In the playground area, programs for pets like 'Wait·Come here' and '25m Speedrun' will be run along with a dog park. The stage area will feature a dog talent show and a 'talk concert' themed around pet culture, as well as mini-games like 'Find the Treat' and 'Sit Quickly.' The family zone will offer family experiences, including caricatures and making pet toys.
At the Toyota lounge, attendees can experience the brand's essence through vehicle displays and test-driving programs, with a dedicated rest area for owner customers called the 'Owners Lounge' also set up. Additionally, a consultation program with pet behavior correction experts will be available, providing a special experience for both customers and their pets.
During the event, the 'Proper Dog Agility Competition' will also take place, with applications accepted until September 7. This year, a new professional institutional sector has been added, with the professional institutional sector taking place on the 27th and the beginner and novice institutional sectors on the 28th. A total of 184 teams (80 beginner teams, 80 novice teams, and 24 professional teams) will participate, with the professional institutional sector being broadcast on SBS Sports Channel, and a prize of up to 800,000 won will be awarded to outstanding teams.
Meanwhile, Toyota Korea will introduce the 'Proper Dog Slow Trip,' a pet travel program tailored to a differentiated lifestyle. This program, which will take place from October 24 to 26 in Hongcheon, Gangwon Province, includes various activities such as accommodation travel with pets, behavior correction classes, sweet potato harvesting experiences, snack cooking classes, dinner parties, talk concerts, and vehicle test drives.
Kang Dae-hwan, vice president of Toyota Korea, said, "I hope every moment spent with pets becomes a special memory, and it is with this hope that we prepared this festival." He added, "Toyota will continue to contribute to establishing a mature pet culture where people and animals can coexist happily in the future."
