The resource circulation energy corporation DS Dansuk announced on the 1st that it established a 4MW solar power generation facility in the first half of this year and has begun full-scale operations.
The solar power generation facility was installed in a rooftop form at the headquarters in Siheung and at its Gunsan Plant No. 1 and No. 2. A total of 4.2 billion won was invested, including government support (carbon neutrality facility support project). The achievement rate of renewable energy (RE) 100 over the past three months at domestic business sites is at the level of 13.5%.
RE100 is a campaign to convert the electricity used by corporations to 100% renewable energy. DS Dansuk plans to accelerate the reduction of carbon emissions from electricity usage and the implementation of RE100 by procuring its own renewable energy. The usage rate of renewable energy at Korean RE100 corporations' domestic business sites is only 12%.
A representative of DS Dansuk said, "We will secure the sustainability of the business through efforts to achieve RE100, such as expanding solar self-generation."
