LG Energy Solution and Samsung SDI will participate in the largest renewable energy exhibition in North America, 'RE+ (Renewable Energy Plus) 2025,' which will be held from 8th to 11th next month (local time) in Las Vegas, USA.
LG Energy Solution will present its vision to lead a paradigm shift in the North American energy storage system market under the theme 'One Stop ESS Solutions,' it noted on the 31st.
The booth will be organized around ▲power grid ESS ▲North American business capabilities ▲artificial intelligence (AI) data center and uninterruptible power supply (UPS) ▲dwellings ESS, showcasing the 'JF2 AC/DC LINK System' tailored for the North American market. The product, which began production this year, is based on lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries.
The company will also exhibit the first real products of LFP battery cells based on rectangular form factors produced in North America. It plans to unveil JF2 and JF3 battery cell and pack products made from pouch-type LFP batteries with over 500 watt-hours (Wh) of ultra-high energy.
Samsung SDI will showcase next-generation ESS products and technologies tailored for the U.S. market under the theme 'All-American, Proven & Ready.' It plans to highlight new products based on locally produced goods.
It will also unveil new products SBB 1.7 and SBB 2.0 of Samsung Battery Box (SBB), a solution for power ESS. SBB is an integrated product that can be used immediately when battery cells, modules, racks, and other components are installed in a 20-foot (ft) container box and connected to the power grid.
SBB 1.7 is a product that improves energy density by about 17% compared to the existing SBB 1.5. SBB 2.0, which uses LFP cells, boasts the industry's highest level of lifespan. Both products are equipped with EDI (embedded direct injection), which effectively prevents heat propagation by directly injecting fire suppression agents into the battery module.
