The Korea SMEs and Startups Agency (KOSME) announced on the 29th that it has signed a business agreement with Kyonggi University and the Korea Productivity Center to promote innovation and growth in small and medium enterprises and to alleviate labor shortages.
This agreement aims to cultivate practical talents that can respond to the transition to artificial intelligence (AI) and the spread of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) management, and it is being pursued to alleviate labor shortages in small corporations. It is also expected to work on strengthening the capabilities of prospective entrepreneurs through training programs.
The main contents of the agreement include ▲ cultivation of excellent personnel in the AI and ESG fields ▲ strengthening youth employment capabilities and job matching ▲ discovering and nurturing excellent young entrepreneurs ▲ guidance on the Tomorrow Saving Fund project, among others.
The three organizations focused on establishing a connected support system to revitalize youth employment. Kyonggi University will cultivate talents through its departments, while the Korea Productivity Center will enhance capabilities through practical training and consulting, and the Korea SMEs and Startups Agency (KOSME) will ultimately connect them to on-site employment.
Additionally, the Korea SMEs and Startups Agency (KOSME) supports investments in carbon reduction facilities and the introduction of AI in manufacturing and management, helping small corporations achieve sustainable growth.
Kang Seok-jin, chairman of KOSME, noted that "this agreement serves as a model for systematically nurturing core talents that will lead the future competitiveness of small corporations through organic collaboration among the institutions," and he said, "We will continue to build an AI-ESG ecosystem and strengthen the job connection support system to become a partner of small corporations."
