Mercedes-Benz Korea Co., Ltd. has selected three amateur golfers to represent Korea. They will compete in the global amateur golf tournament 'Mercedes Trophy' finals, showcasing the prowess of Korean amateur golf.
The three representatives for Korea were selected at the domestic finals, 'Mercedes Trophy 2025 National Final'.
The Mercedes Trophy, an amateur golf tournament for Mercedes-Benz customers, is celebrating its 34th year. It has hosted over 600 tournaments in more than 60 countries annually, with participation from over 60,000 amateur golfers.
This domestic final tournament was held on the 25th and 26th at Jeju CJ Nine Bridges. Seventy-six amateur golfers, selected through regional qualifiers since April, competed in three groups based on handicap, and three participants with the best performances from each group were finally selected as representatives for Korea.
The three selected representatives will participate in the 'Mercedes Trophy World Final' global finals at the five-star golf resort 'Der Öschberghof' in Germany from Sept. 28, competing against the best amateur golfers representing various countries. The Korean team has previously won overall championship for two consecutive years since 2023, sparking interest in whether they can achieve a third consecutive victory this year.
'Mercedes Trophy 2025 National Final' provided participants with a differentiated brand experience, enhancing satisfaction. Notably, Mercedes-Benz brand ambassadors KLPGA's Park Hyun-kyung (Mediheal) and Kim Min-byeol (HiteJinro) participated, offering a special experience by interacting directly with participants through one-point lessons and events like 'Beat the Pro.'
In addition, they held an unveiling show for the Mercedes-Maybach SL 680, set to launch domestically this year, showcasing several representative models including the Mercedes-AMG GT, Mercedes-AMG SL, G-Class, Mercedes-Maybach EQS SUV, and E-Class.
Moreover, through various hole events and a drawing, they provided the largest array of prizes to date, including round-trip airline tickets to Tokyo, a luxurious DukSiana full bed set, and an IWC Pilot's Watch Chronograph. Particularly, through the 'Drive to the Major' hole event, they offered participants the chance to participate in the VIP program for the 2026 Open Championship, which boasts the longest history among major tournaments worldwide, receiving a great response from participants.
Mathias Beutel, CEO of Mercedes-Benz Korea, said, 'The Mercedes Trophy is a longstanding amateur golf tournament that has been ongoing for over 30 years, providing a space for customers to experience the brand alongside sports,' and he noted, 'We will continue to strive to expand opportunities for domestic customers to experience the brand directly in various ways.'
