BYD Korea has opened a BYD Auto showroom in the youthful district of Hongdae.
The BYD Auto Mapo showroom is the first cafe-style showroom in Korea. Under the concept of 'BYD Breeze - Breeze Your Day,' it has transformed the traditional showroom image to provide a space where customers can enjoy a cup of coffee while naturally experiencing electric vehicles.
The BYD Auto Mapo showroom is located in the areas of Seogyodong and Donggyodong, close to major regions like Yeouido and Sinchon. The abundant foot traffic and the free and creative atmosphere centered around the Hongdae artistic street offer customers a special experience of enjoying culture and lifestyle together.
The BYD Auto Mapo showroom covers 2 floors with an area of 350㎡ (approximately 106 pyeong) and can display up to 3 BYD vehicles. The vehicle display area and customer relaxation space are arranged organically, creating a dynamic and free atmosphere compared to conventional showrooms.
The first floor connects the exhibition space with the cafe zone, allowing for a free experience, while the second floor has been established as a consultation and brand experience space. The storytelling flow connecting from the entrance to the cafe zone, vehicle exhibition, and consultation area has been designed to make customers feel the brand as a single narrative. In particular, BYD's vision of 'lowering the Earth's temperature by 1°C' has been reflected in the showroom by increasing the use of natural materials like wood and stone, incorporating curved designs and warm color tones to create a comfortable yet sophisticated atmosphere.
As the first cafe-style showroom by BYD Korea, the BYD Auto Mapo showroom is expected to serve as a testbed for future urban base expansions. It is planned to be used as a standard model for BYD's urban lifestyle showroom strategy to be showcased in major cities across the Asia-Pacific region.
Jo In-cheol, the head of the passenger vehicle institutional sector at BYD Korea, noted, 'BYD Breeze is a space configuration concept that goes beyond a simple showroom, allowing customers to naturally experience the brand's philosophy and future mobility values.' He emphasized that it will become a new hub that conveys BYD's eco-friendly philosophy and the image of being young and innovative.
With the new opening of the BYD Auto Mapo showroom, BYD Korea, which operates 20 showrooms and 14 service centers nationwide, is accelerating the construction of a strategic network across the country. BYD Korea aims to secure 30 showrooms and 25 service centers by the end of this year.
