Hanwha announced on the 28th that it will host the 'Hanwha Fireworks Festival 2025' on September 27 at Yeouido Hangang Park.
The Seoul Fireworks Festival, which has been conducted by Hanwha Group since 2000 as part of its social contribution activities, is one of Korea's representative festivals, attracting over 1 million spectators. This year's festival will feature participants from three countries, including Korea, Italy, and Canada, showcasing beautiful music and splendid fireworks.
The festival will take place near Yeouido Hangang Park starting at 1 p.m. Various corporations, including subsidiaries of Hanwha Group, will host promotional booths from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m., enhancing the festive atmosphere with promotions and events.
The main fireworks festival will begin with the opening ceremony at 7 p.m. The Italian team (Parente Fireworks Group), leading the first segment, will express the grandeur of light in alignment with a piece by Italian composer Ennio Morricone under the theme 'Fiat Lux - Toward the Light in Darkness' starting at 7:20 p.m. Following that, the Canadian team (Royal Pyrotechnie) will present a dynamic performance under the theme 'Superhéros - Light Protecting the World' to the OST of beloved hero movies from all generations starting at 7:40 p.m.
Starting at 8 p.m., the Korean team will decorate the finale of the event for about 30 minutes. This year, Hanwha will present a splendid display themed 'Golden Hour - Into the Shining Moment,' inspired by the concept of 'time.'
Notably, this year, in addition to the performances by Hanwha, there will be the opportunity to see overseas participating teams' performances in both directions from the Wonhyo Bridge towards the Mapo Bridge (west) and the Han River Railroad Bridge (east). For the first time in history, all participating teams will attempt a 'decadent' performance, allowing spectators to enjoy a rich festival experience from extensive viewing areas.
This year, official seating will also be available for family, couples, and friends to feel the thrill of the fireworks more intensely from the nearest locations. These tickets can be applied for through the Golden Ticket event hosted on the LIFEPLUS TRIBES app from August 27 to September 16. Winners will be announced on September 17. Detailed information will also be available on the official website, where limited-edition merchandise for the Seoul Fireworks Festival will be sold.
Hanwha will enhance its systematized safety management, considering the characteristic of large crowds at the Seoul Fireworks Festival this year. The plan is to deploy a total of over 3,500 safety management and order maintenance personnel, including 1,200 members of the Hanwha employee volunteer team.
To ensure that citizens who cannot visit the site can still feel the excitement of the fireworks festival, an online live broadcast will also be held. Hanwha plans to live stream the Yeouido Fireworks Show online through its official YouTube channel 'Hanwha TV' and to provide real-time themed music streaming services through the smart app 'Orangeplay' for nearby areas where the fireworks can be seen but the music cannot be heard.
