Porsche Korea (CEO Mathias Busse) held a domestic media preview event at the Porsche Studio Cheongdam on the 27th, unveiling the 'New 911 Spirit 70', which reinterprets Porsche's historical design elements in a modern way for the first time in Korea.
The 'New 911 Spirit 70', reflecting the sensibility of the 1970s, features a modern emphasis with its exclusive Olive Neo color, graphics inspired by heritage models, and legendary Pasha pattern interior. It will be produced in a limited run of 1,500 convertible models worldwide, scheduled for release in Korea this October, with a starting price of 326 million won, including VAT.
At the event, along with the 'New 911 Spirit 70', the 'New 911 GT3 Touring Package', commemorating the 25th anniversary of the GT3 model, was also unveiled. The new 911 GT3, which perfectly combines racing genes with everyday usability, was released in Korea on the 21st in two models: a track-focused sports car and a refined version, the Touring Package.
Mathias Busse, CEO of Porsche Korea, noted, "The 'New 911 Spirit 70', reinterpreting the sensibility and style of the 1970s, is a special model that encompasses the identity and essence of the Porsche brand and its heritage." He added, "I am very pleased to be able to present this limited edition in response to the high interest in Porsche Exclusive Manufacture in the Korean market," emphasizing that the touring package of the GT line, embodying motorsport technology, is also a model being introduced in Korea for the first time, allowing customers to enjoy both lifestyle and high-performance simultaneously.
The 'New 911 Spirit 70', the third model produced as part of Porsche's heritage design strategy, is based on the hybrid system of the current 911 Carrera GTS Cabriolet. It boasts a maximum system output of 541 horsepower (PS) and a maximum torque of 62.2 kgm through an electric turbocharger, a new PDK with an electric motor, and a newly developed 3.6-liter boxer engine.
In particular, Porsche designers and paint specialists developed the Olive Neo color, which adds a modern touch to a rich and deep green for the 911 Spirit 70. This color harmonizes with the contrasting gray gold Bronzite color applied to the rear lower and front areas, as well as to the sports classic wheels designed by Fuchs.
The 911 Spirit 70 reflects Porsche's evolved corporate strategy. Continuously expanding personalization options for customers, Porsche currently offers over 1,000 Porsche Exclusive Manufacture options. The interior highlight features an iconic Pasha fabric pattern, harmonizing black and Olive Neo colors. The graphic design of the fabric and the intricately arranged rectangular patterns of various sizes evoke a swirling checkered flag. Additionally, the Porsche crest attached is identical to the design used on the first 911 from 1963. A gold-colored Porsche Exclusive Manufacture badge adorns the front fender, while the Porsche Heritage badge sits on the grill of the trunk lid.
Porsche Design will also launch a luxury chronograph with various details reminiscent of the '911 Spirit 70′ exclusively for customers purchasing this collection. Additionally, the Porsche Lifestyle Collection will showcase lifestyle and sportswear, accessories, and model cars that recreate the sensibilities and styles of the 1970s.
