The Korea Technology Finance Corporation (KOTEC) announced on the 26th that it has designated the period from the 25th to the 29th as 'KIBO Social Contribution Week' and will implement a 'warmth-sharing relay' by practicing one social contribution activity each day.
This social contribution week was established to strengthen the social responsibility of public institutions and to collaborate with related organizations and local networks to make a tangible contribution to the community.
On the first day, the 25th, KOTEC collaborated with Pukyong National University to operate a children's cultural experience program, and on the 26th, it launched the 'Jangbon DAY' campaign to revitalize traditional markets. On the 27th, KOTEC will conduct activities to improve the living conditions of underprivileged families in collaboration with Pukyong National University, and on the 28th, it will support upcycling kits in partnership with the Korea Housing & Urban Guarantee Corporation (HUG). On the final day, the 29th, it will continue the 'one social contribution activity a day' in a relay format through a blood donation campaign.
In particular, during the Jangbon DAY held on the 26th, KOTEC board member Cheon Chang-ho and employees visited the Busan Cheoltuk Traditional Market to shop and communicate directly with the merchants. KOTEC contributed to promoting local consumption and revitalizing traditional markets through this campaign, having a meaningful time to invigorate the alley economy.
Cheon Chang-ho said, 'This social contribution week was a meaningful event where we could share warmth in various fields such as support for the vulnerable, educational donations, and environmental safety,' and added, 'KOTEC will continue to fulfill its responsibilities as a public institution and coexist with the community through various social contribution activities.'
