Volvo Trucks Korea (President Park Kang-seok) officially launched the upgraded design, safety, and high-end specifications equipped 'FH540 Globetrotter XL Premium' tractor on the 26th.
This new model features a sophisticated 'Gun Gray' color on the cab, giving it a more luxurious feel, especially as the interior space is upgraded with various premium features for more comfortable long-distance driving.
The gray color interior and top-quality natural leather seats create a luxurious and comfortable space, equipped with various conveniences for truck drivers, including an electronic reclining bed, a large refrigerator and freezer, a microwave, a 9-inch side display, and a smart button start system.
Furthermore, Volvo Trucks' 'FH540 Globetrotter XL Premium Tractor' stands out with numerous high-end options rarely available even in regular passenger vehicles. Key specifications include an improved aerodynamic design that replaces conventional external side mirrors and a camera monitoring system (CMS) that enhances the driver's field of vision, advanced driving assistance systems such as Volvo Pilot Assist, and I-See, which optimizes fuel efficiency using road contour data, as well as Volvo Dynamic Steering (VDS Evo). Additionally, aluminum wheels and LED high beams and tail lights enhanced the overall appearance and functionality.
Along with this, the 'FH540 Globetrotter XL Premium' tractor is equipped with Volvo's 'Full Safety Package' and the newly upgraded emergency braking system (AEBS) that expands its detection range to pedestrians, bicycles, and motorcycles, allowing for effective response in unforeseen road hazards.
Moreover, Volvo Trucks' premium tractor boasts a maximum output of 540 horsepower and a maximum torque of 265 kg·m, paired with a 13-liter D13K diesel engine and an I-Shift dual-clutch automatic transmission, ensuring excellent driving performance. This engine meets the Euro 6 Step E emission standards with eco-friendly design and improved fuel efficiency, while also incorporating a front axle air suspension to enhance driving stability and loading efficiency.
