Shin Young-soo, CEO of CJ Logistics, emphasized, "We will accelerate the transfer of verified innovative technologies from Korea to overseas, aiming to become a 'global top 10 logistics company' by our 100th anniversary in 2030."
According to CJ Logistics on the 24th, CEO Shin Young-soo made these remarks during a town hall meeting held at the company's headquarters in Jongno, Seoul, on the 22nd. The event was attended by Shin and company employees to review the first half of the year's achievements and share strategies and visions for the second half.
CEO Shin noted, "The company is at a critical juncture in evolving into a global tech corporation," and added, "The first half of the year was a time to lay the groundwork for achieving results in the second half. We must soberly acknowledge our accomplishments and leap forward based on our competitive edge."
CEO Shin identified the transition into a global tech logistics corporation as a task for the company's 'quantum jump.' He aims to transplant the exceptionally advanced technologies of the TES Logistics Technology Research Institute, accumulated domestically, to the global arena to enhance the logistics productivity of customer companies and secure new growth engines.
CEO Shin also stressed the importance of securing future technologies such as logistics automation and artificial intelligence (AI). He stated, "We must implement real-time decision-making and autonomous operational systems based on CJ Logistics' operational data and AI to further increase the level of process automation," and, "We must swiftly enhance our capabilities in robot development to lead the future market."
Regarding the integrated delivery brand O-NE, CEO Shin noted that the expansion of automation technology and the diversification of the delivery portfolio are necessary. He mentioned that in the global business sector, it is essential to strengthen contract logistics in strategic countries such as the United States and India, and to expand cross-border e-commerce (CBE) business.
During the event, Jonathan Song, who was recently appointed as the representative of the global business sector, shared his growth strategy. He remarked, "To advance as a global third-party logistics (3PL) company, we will actively implement strategies for expanding our overseas network and enhancing sales capabilities and efficiency."
